Dead Horse Beats’ Single People album is a timely ode to all the newly single people who break up with somebody “and act like a child about it.” It may not describe a particular situation in words, but the sounds definitely describe the emotions behind tough break-ups. Just remember the time where you were in high school, deeply in love with someone and then falling victim to the treachery of separation. And without knowing the consequences of it, you act as if it’s the other person’s fault. This album is about taking accountability for one’s actions and being a responsible human being about relationships. It goes to show how mindful one must be to understand perspectives.
